Review: American History X

I am fortunate to have never been the victim of a racial attack. I am also very fortunate to live in the San Francisco Bay area for our diversity is ever so present that the majority of the population is not offended by another's race. But that doesn't mean that it's not present. Racism is everywhere, whether it be violent or simply discriminatory.

I recently watched a film by the title of American History X, a graphic film that shows us the ugly face of racism. I was left in a state of shock by the graphic images that director, Tony Kaye depicted.

The one line that really got me thinking was: "Has anything you've ever done in your life mattered?". I know I can't save the world. But that inspires me to do more to help.

I recommend everyone to go see this film. It'll surely make an impact.
